PERFECT SMILE CORPORATION
ANNOUNCES RESULTS OF UNIVERSITY
TEETH WHITENING STUDY
Cleveland, Ohio,
April 12, 2005 -- Perfect Smile
Corporation today announced
specific results from a clinical
study in which its Perfect Smile
“click & brush-on” Teeth Whitening
Pen outperformed leading
competitive products in a study
recently conducted at Case Western
Reserve University.
The study was
conducted at the University’s
MicroDesign Center utilizing an
X-Rite Corporation Shadevision
scanner to measure changes in
whiteness resulting from whitening
products applied to bovine teeth.
The whitening products evaluated
in the study were Crest White
Strips, Colgate Simply White, and
the Perfect Smile Whitening Pen
(formerly EnamelWhite™).
Study results
indicated that Perfect Smile
outperformed the competitive
products by a range of 14% - 82%
utilizing data considered to be
reliable by X-Rite Corporation
technical staff. Results using
all data compiled from the study
showed that Perfect Smile
outperformed the competitive
products by 20% - 77%.
Dr. Robert O. Wolf,
creator of the Perfect Smile
Whitening Pen, stated “we are very
pleased with the study results
which clearly place our product at
the front of the line compared to
teeth whiteners widely available
in retail stores. The Invisible
Film-Forming technology contained
in our water soluble, pH neutral
gel formulation, combined with the
unique brush pen delivery method,
creates a superior product with
virtually zero sensitivity that is
also the most cost effective,
convenient and easy-to-use
whitening product available in the
market today.”
